Sunday, Jan. 6
11 am - 3:30 pm

LAST BUS LEAVES CFI at 11:30 AM
Doors open at 10:30 AM

Due to the overwhelming response for the Griffith Park Observatory tour on Jan. 6, we have reached the current reservation limit. If you would like to be added to a standby list, please email or call us. We will contact you as soon as possible if there are openings or additional information.

Join CFI staff and guests for a special group tour of the greatly expanded Griffith Observatory. We'll meet at the Center for Inquiry-L.A. for a continental breakfast from 11-11:30 am, then take a chartered bus to the observatory where we'll provide astronomers to guide us through the observatory. You'll have plenty of time to explore on have lunch on your own at the Wolfgang Puck restaurant with its spectacular view of Los Angeles. You can see the Tesla coil in action, look through the camera obscura and the solar telescope, visit the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theater, and follow Foucault's Pendulum as it traces the earth's rotation - and much more.

Cost for the excursion is $25 and includes a ticket to the planetarium show, transportation to and from the observatory, continental breakfast, and guides. Members and students who purchase tickets in advance pay only $19.
