With God on Our Side: Evangelicalism and America's Military

     One of the most elite military institutions is the Air Force Academy, which in recent years has been criticized for encouraging its cadets to become fundamentalist Christians. Exposing that life at the Academy is Michael L. Weinstein, and Academy graduate who will discuss his inside story detailed in his new book, With God on Our Side: One Man's War Against an Evangelical Coup in America's Military.

     Weinstein, who is an attorney and businessman, served as a judge advocate (JAG) for 10 years in the Air Force and worked for more than three years as legal counsel for the Reagan White House. As advocate for the separation of church and state, Weinstein is the founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. Copies of his book will be available for purchase and signing.
