Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I send the tape when I’m finished?

Send it to Darwin Aloud, Center for Inquiry Los Angeles, 4773 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, 90027, USA

Can I shoot on PAL or NTSC?
Yes. We prefer NTSC but will accept PAL too.

Can I shoot more than one person reading?
Yes. You may divide the selection among as many people as you like.

Will every reader appear in the final product?
We will make every effort to get as many people in the final film as possible.

How will you determine who gets into the final cut?
We’ll try to get a variety of people, locations, and languages in the final cut. Where there is duplication, we will choose the best quality of picture and sound.

Where can I see the finished product, and can I get a copy?
We hope to have the film online so that people can download it.

Is anyone going to make any money from this?
No. This is done as a tribute to Darwin – not to make money.

Can I send other video formats?
We would prefer mini-DV tape or DVDs. We’ll try to convert other formats depending on budget.

Is there a way to upload my video?
Yes. Email James Underdown at jimu[at]cfiwest.org.

How long do I have to send you the video?
All video must be received by June 1, 2009.
